Federal officials have seized more than two pounds of hashish that was shipped to Philadelphia in an unusual disguise.
Customs and Border Protection agents, working in the Cargo City area of Philadelphia International Airport, say they discovered the hash -- along with some marijuana -- hidden inside a strangely dense chessboard.
Agency spokesman Steve Sapp says it was downright metaphorical:
"We normally talk in circles of law enforcement that any kind of good guy-bad guy scenario is sort of like a chess match. They're trying to find ways to get around us, and it's our job to try to discover those concealment methods."
Sapp says the hash was shipped from Tanzania but he declined to say where it was headed. There were no arrests. Sapp says the drugs will be destroyed.
