The Linda Creed Breast Cancer Foundation fundraiser this weekend has expanded, in hopes that a second kind of "animal magnetism" will draw a crowd.
The original "Paws for the Cause" was people and dogs only, but with its move to Chamounix Drive in Fairmount Park, it adds horses to the mix.
Fran Orodeckis is Creed Foundation development director:
"It's our third year but it's our first year in Philadelphia, so we're very excited about being able to move it into the city. We're not sure what our numbers will be, but we're certainly looking at a minimum of a thousand people to come out for this."
Supporter and cancer survivor Helene Paxton hosts cancer patients on her Salem County horse farm:
"Our goal was to give people a place to go to sort of chill out when they're going through chemo, when they're going through all the intensity of cancer. We've done all kinds of things where we've raised money for breast cancer and also just supported people."
