Annual Italian Market Festival Runs Through Sunday

by KYW’s Jim Melwert

It's billed as the largest block-party in Philadelphia, and this year's 9th Street Italian Market Festival is not disappointing its fans.

There's live music, jewelry, and games. But if you ask most people, the best part of the 9th Street Italian Market Festival:

“It’s the food, the food, the food.”

For starters there kettle corn:

"This is kind of my breakfast. The breakfast of champions: Popcorn."

Then on to some lunch:

"This is a slice of Lorenzo's pizza. I haven't been in Philadelphia for a couple years, but every time I come in I have to get a slice because it's the tastiest stuff going."

And there's always room for a frozen banana:

"This is brunch. I had breakfast. This is brunch."
The 9th Street Italian Market Festival runs from 10am through 5pm on Sunday.
