Phila. Woman Arrested for Trying to Trade Sex for Phillies Tickets

by KYW's Brad Segall

How far are some people willing to go to get their hands on some World Series tickets? Bensalem, Pa. police have arrested a Philadelphia woman whom they say was willing to trade sexual favors for seats.

Police say Susan Finkelstein, 43, of the 900 block of St. Bernard Street in Philadelphia, put an ad on the web site Craig’s List, describing herself as a "gorgeous, tall, buxom blonde in desperate need of two World Series tickets."

And the price was negotiable.

Police trolling the Internet found the ad and set up a meeting. Bensalem (Bucks County) public safety director Fred Harran says that Finkelstein was handcuffed after she solicited an undercover cop on Monday night:

"She was willing to do anything, she said.  And she told the officers that she would engage in sexual activity with two individuals for two tickets.”

She’s charged with soliciting prostitution and related offenses.

In her Craig’s List ad, police say, she labeled herself as a "diehard Phillies fan" and said that she was "the creative type."

A court date was not immediately scheduled for the summary offense.

KYW's Tony Hanson reports Finkelstein's lawyer says the charges just aren't true.

Defense attorney William Brennan says Finkelstein, a married professional, is overcome with Phillies fever -- just beside herself to get these tickets.  So, she posted on Craig's List:

"Desperate fan seeking World Series tickets. I mean, I'm sure that represents the feelings of an awful lot of people in this town right now."

(Hanson:) Susan, desperately seeking tickets.

(Brennan:) "Susan, desperately seeking -- that's correct."

The creative type and price was negotiable. And while not conceding anything, Brennan says there may have been talk of sex and talk of tickets, but he says no offer of sex for tickets:

"She was willing to -- if she could afford it -- pay money or work some type of deal to get tickets, but we completely dispute and deny that there was an offer a trade of sex for tickets."
