Bomb Scare Sends Students Scurrying in Chester County

by KYW's Ian Bush

It was a short day for some students in part of Chester County, after a bomb threat on Wednesday morning.

The superintendent for the Octorara School District says that a suspicious note was found in the high school around 9:45am.

State police and parents were notified as the high school and the attached middle school were evacuated to other buildings on the campus, in Atglen, Pa.

Authorities say the initial search turned up nothing.

High school and middle school students were being dismissed at 12:15pm.  Elementary students were being dismissed at 1:15pm.
