Burlco Remembers Fallen Police Officers With Blue Ribbons

by KYW's David Madden

This is National Police Week across America and many communities are marking the occasion with blue ribbons. Burlington County, Pa. is among them.

Burlington County is distributing 20,000 ribbons this week, part of a national campaign to honor fallen officers coast to coast. County prosecutor Robert Bernardi (right in file photo):

"Anybody, and hopefully everybody, will want one by going into their local police department, our office, the sheriff's department, and put them on their rear view mirror or their antenna."

A national ceremony in memory of those who paid the ultimate price is set for Thursday in Washington.

Burlington County will host a local memorial the day before in Westhampton.

The national blue ribbon campaign is run through Concerns of Police Survivors, Inc.
