Delco Vet Clinic Now Offers Low-Cost Spay, Neuter Services

by KYW's John Ostapkovich

An organization that promotes spaying and neutering pets can now perform the service itself.

The Spayed Club has opened a full-time spay-neuter veterinary clinic in Sharon Hill, says the Club's executive director Megan Kane-Gures:

"We're looking to provide a low-cost, high-volume spay-neuter service. In today's economy, it's important to remember that people are hurting financially and we understand that financial hardship often prevents owners from having their pets spayed or neutered."

The idea is to reduce euthanasia at animal shelters by reducing the number of unwanted pets. This is NOT a new full-service veterinary office.  It's the surgery, usually with an overnight post-op stay, then so long, have a nice life. The cost is $60 for cats, and either $100 or $135 for dogs, depending on weight.

Make appointments at appointment@thespayedclub.org or call 484-540-8436.
