Haddonfield Lawyer Warren Faulk Nominated as Camco Prosecutor

by KYW's David Madden

New Jersey governor Jon Corzine has nominated a Haddonfield attorney to take over as Camden County prosecutor, subject to confirmation by the state senate.

Warren Faulk, 63 (above), has done mostly civil work as a partner in the Brown and Connery law firm. But he points out that he’s not unfamiliar with the criminal end of the bar:

"I was a municipal prosecutor in the borough of Barrington for three years, and very early on in my career when I was in the military as a military lawyer I did both prosecution and defense."

He doesn’t expect to make a whole lot of changes, assuming he’s confirmed, which observers think shouldn’t be a problem.

The Camden County prosecutor's office has been run with acting prosecutors since Vince Sarubbi returned to private practice a couple of years ago.

One of the unique functions of the Camden County prosecutor is overseeing the operation of the Camden City Police -- and there’s no sign of that changing in the short term.
