Have you ever been in a park and wondered ‘why did they plant those trees or that shrub’ instead of something else?
Wish they’d asked your opinion before they built the park? Well, now they are.
The day after tomorrow is First Friday in Old City Philadelphia, and if you head to 106 north 2nd Street between 5 an 8 pm, you’ll get to chat with the designers of a new Riverfront Park soon to be built on Pier 11.
The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society is helping the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation gather community input; so this is your chance to speak up and tell the park designers how you think the space at Pier 11 should be used or what you’d love to see planted there.
For details, see below and if you can’t make it to the reception this First Friday, just click on the link to find a survey where you can share your ideas for this new Riverfront Park.
