Students in Northeast Philadelphia are anxiously awaiting a new room at Holy Family University.
The dorm at Holy Family University dates back to the 50's; so the rooms are crowded and out of date. University President Sister Francesca Onley says the new $20 million building will be a 5-story brick and glass structure featuring two-bedroom suites with bathrooms and separate living rooms and .each floor will have kitchenettes and laundry facilities:
“On the first floor we'll feature a fitness room, a game room, vending room and a multi-purpose room with ample meeting space for students.”
The dorm will be built in three phases; the first, which will house 148 students, will be ready in the fall of 2009. |
