Israel's national orchestra is beginning another world tour which will include a stop here in Philadelphia.
The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra not only is one of the world's outstanding symphonic ensembles but is the Jewish state's most impressive goodwill ambassador. It tours the world year in and year out, and will include India this time.
Zubin Mehta is its veteran musical director:
“There's such enthusiasm. There’s also big talent in India, which has not been nurtured as yet, like in Korea or even China now. “
New York, Philadelphia and other American cities are included in the US leg of the musical journey.
