Jeff Asch knows sports. He's a sports anchor and sports reporter for KYW Newsradio, also serving as a news writer for the KYW1060.com web site.
Asch joined KYW from WCAU, where he was a TV sports producer, sports anchor, and sports reporter.
Before that, he worked at WCAU's sister radio station as a sports talk show host and sports producer.
In 2000, he was named "Man of the Year" by the Sportsters Club in Northeast Philadelphia.
In 1991, Jeff received an Emmy nomination as best sports reporter in the area.
In addition to his broadcasting work, Asch serves on the board of governors of the Philadelphia Sportswriters Association.
Understanding the importance of introducing young people to the broadcasting industry, Asch is an adjunct professor at LaSalle University and at Montgomery County Community College.
Asch is a Philadelphia native. He attended Central High School and then Temple University, where he got his BA in communications and theatre.
Jeff and his wife Susan have two sons, David and Michael.
