The attorney for the "person of interest" in a string of physical and sexual assaults in Frankford says his client is innocent -- and a serial attacker is still on the loose.
Philadelphia police officials have said that until Dorrell Shaw's DNA test results come in, folks in the neighborhood should keep up their guard (see related story). That's echoed by Shaw's lawyer, Donald Chisolm, who also says that cops have the wrong guy:
"We want to make sure that people in the community are still out looking for the person who committed these crimes because my client is not that person."
Shaw (in photo above) was taken into state custody on a probation violation.
Attorney Chisolm says Shaw is a "person of interest" only because he resembles a sketch provided by one of the victims -- and that there's no physical evidence linking him to the six attacks.
Police are keeping a task force working in Frankford until there is definitive word from the DNA lab.
