Spring is the perfect time to start cleaning and clearing some of winter's clutter to prepare for summer. One local expert makes a living by clearing her client's clutter all year long, and she's got a few helpful tips if you don't know where to get started.
Janet Taylor of Totally Organized in Philadelphia says spring is time to get organized:
"We're changing our wardrobes from winter to the spring. We can do two things: as we put away our winter clothes, really take a look as what had hanging in our closet that we haven't used -- maybe it's time to let go. And then as we bring out our spring and summer clothes out, really begin to look at those outfits and say 'maybe I need to get rid of a couple of things and give them away.'"
If you still have receipts all over the house from filing your taxes, Taylor says the IRS provides a pamphlet that explains what to keep and how long to keep it.
What about all of your children's classroom artwork that's collected all year? Taylor advises that you get a container for each child to store those precious memories.
