Local Gasoline Prices Push Past $4 Per Gallon for Regular

by KYW's Mark Abrams

As experts have predicted, gas stations in the Delaware Valley have begun to charge $4.00 or more for a gallon of regular gasoline.

As of Tuesday morning, three stations in Conshohcken, Pa. and one in West Chester, Pa. were charging over $4.00 a gallon, and there are many more service stations in the region on the cusp of four bucks for a gallon of regular unleaded.

Philadelphia averages $3.84 per gallon while Chicago and New York's Long Island are averaging $4.00 plus per gallon. People in California have been paying over $4 for weeks now, and average prices in Alaska and Connecticut are just below $4.
