Manayunk's 2nd Saturday Features PAWS on Main

by KYW's Rasa Kaye

Come on down to Manayunk and bring your best friend -- the furry, four-legged one. Manayunk’s second Saturday street fair goes to the dogs with PAWS on Main for the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society.

Gwen Cohen is a PAWS volunteer:

“PAWS is a volunteer division of PACA which is the Philadelphia animal control association. They take in nearly 30,000 animals a year. PAWS is actually working towards making Philadelphia a “no kill” city, and we’re making tremendous strides with that. This event on Main St. is just another step in doing that.”

PAWS is setup at Main St. and Levering with a charity dog was, raffles, and an animal oriented information fair. The group has also brought some homeless cats and dogs hoping someone adopts them. They are all immediately adoptable and totally adorable.
