Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter is back home after the Democratic National Convention and on the attack against the the newly-formed GOP ticket.
Asked about Senator McCain's selection of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate, Nutter calls it the worst judgment imaginable.
"My understanding is he's only met Governor Palin a couple times. I mean this is not people who know each other well, I mean this is a shot-gun wedding of convenience about their politics not about the presidency and running this country."
Nutter says he was impressed by Senator Barack Obama's acceptance speech at the just-concluded Democratic convention.
"The juxtaposition of his speaking and 45 years ago the incredible 'I have a dream' speech by Doctor Martin Luther King, I should think should generate a tremendous amount of pride for all Americans, not just African Americans." |
