Mayor Nutter Prepares for Democratic Convention in Denver

by KYW's Mike Dunn

Among those preparing to head out to Denver for the Democratic Convention is Mayor Nutter, who says he's gotten over the defeat of his candidate, Hillary Clinton.

Mayor Nutter says he's going to Denver with a clear purpose:

"I'm ready to move on and get Sen. Obama elected as President."

And Nutter says his support for Obama is unwavering even though he campaigned fervently for Sen. Clinton during the primary:

"When you're in this political life, you understand that in a democratic primary, the person you're supporting may not make it through this whole process.  We have to be adults about this."

Nutter says he hopes other Clinton supporters take the same high road.
