Mayor Nutter's 'Clone' Answers Reporters' Questions

by KYW's Mike Dunn

This week marks the one year anniversary of the Philadelphia mayoral primary in which Michael Nutter toppled four challengers. Michael Nutter is keeping up a campaign-style pace:

Five months into his job, Nutter is doing anything but slowing down.  His public schedule on Thursday, for example, had Nutter at no fewer than ten separate events, some of which overlapped:

"It's an active job.  I've thrown myself into this.  We have a lot of things to get done in what I would consider a relatively short period of time."

But that doesn't explain how Nutter's schedule has him in two places at once, so reporters wondered if he'd been cloned:

"Yeah, you're actually not talking to the original Michael A. Nutter.  But I'm pleased to try to answer any questions that you might have for him."

You heard it here first.
