Montco Paralegal Charged with Skimming Estate Funds

by KYW's Kim Glovas

A Montgomery County paralegal was behind bars on Monday, accused of pilfering money from clients' accounts in her office.

Montgomery County first assistant district attorney Kevin Steele says that 49-year-old Kathleen Foer-Morse (above) was arrested after allegedly taking money from clients' accounts at the law firm where she worked:

"The partner in the law firm was going through the accounts and realized that there was money missing.  They did an accounting of it and the defendant was found to have been involved in previous theft from another law firm, and she was arrested."

Foer-Morse, who lives in Spring City, is now being held in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in lieu of $99,000 cash bail.

Steele says the law firm manages estates for clients, and says the defendant allegedly took $50,000 from one account and $50,000 from another before being discovered.
