Eastern State Penitentiary in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia has been the backdrop to many movies and TV shows. Popularity is now growing at the historic prison for those seeking the extraordinary wedding photos. 

"Can everybody see the back light there right now?"

Haddonfield's Cliff Mautner was named one of the top 10 wedding photographers in the world by American Photo Magazine this past Spring. He was instructing wedding photographers from across the country at Eastern State Penitentiary as part of a two-day workshop on lighting:
 
"Use the juxtaposition of the beauty of the bride and the hideous nature of this place which is actually quite beautiful and make yourself some different looking photos."

(McDevitt): "Cliff, many paranormal experts say Eastern State is one of the most active sites in America. Have you captured any unwanted wedding guests in the photographs?"

"I haven't told the students that. When I start processing the photographs and I come across anything, you'll be the first to know."
