Morning Blaze Destroys Sweetwater Restaurant in Mullica Twp., NJ

by KYW's Al Novack

Firefighters in Atlantic County, New Jersey were battling a fire at the Sweetwater Casino bar and restaurant in Mullica Township early Monday morning.

Officials say the restaurant is not a casino. It just uses the term in its business name.

The restaurant is located along the Mullica River in the 2700 block of 7th Avenue in the township's Sweetwater section.

Hampering firefighters was the lack of an adequate municipal water supply.

There were no reports of any injuries. The blaze was first reported around 5am. Damage is extensive and most of the facility burned to the ground. The cause of the fire was being investigated.
