High school and college students work side by side in the new Chester County technical college high school.
The 123,000 square foot building in West Grove, Chester County houses a technical high school and a community college. Principal, Seth Schram says the tech-students are able to take college classes at the same time:
“We've done it in other school, but not in a hybrid concept where the community college and the high school are in the same building. One of the major advantages is instead of two facilities you have one facility so obviously it saves money for the community, you're able to share the tools and resources of technology so we don't need to have redundancy in purchasing.
Students graduating high school with such degrees as finance, culinary arts, animal sciences and automotive technology could end up with 14-college credits -- saving time and money when getting a post graduate degree.
