No Relief Expected as Heat Wave Continues

The heat wave continues in the Delaware Valley Sunday.

Little relief is expected throughout the day. An excessive heat warning in effect until 8:00pm Sunday evening. Accu-Weather says the high will reach 95 degrees, but the heat index will make it feel more like 100. There could be a stray thunderstorm during the afternoon or evening hours. It will be muggy Sunday night with a low of 76.

On Monday, it will be partly sunny and will remain hot and humid with a stray late-day thunderstorm and a high of 92. The heat and humidity continues on Tuesday with a high near 90 and a chance for a couple of showers and a thunderstorm.
 
It will still be humid, but not as hot on Wednesday with a high of 86. On Thursday, it will be mostly sunny With a high of 88.

The Philadelphia Corporation for Aging is once again urging people to check on seniors. It will operate its heat line to answer questions or help seniors trying to cope with the heat. The number is 215-765-9040.
