It's game six of the World Series on Wednesday night in the Bronx (game time 7:57pm). The Phillies would either force a decisive game seven, or they would watch the Yankees celebrate their 27th championship (see related story).
Pedro Martinez, and Andy Pettitte first faced each other 11 years ago. For game six of the World Series, Pedro says they would square off again with the stakes as high as they can be:
"Two old goats out there doing the best they can."
Pettite says each feels fortunate to have had a long career:
"For us both to still be pitching, and then to be able to be pitching in the World Series. I know he feels the same way I do. I just feel very blessed."
If the Phils were blessed with a win on Wednesday night, they would play a game seven on Thursday for all the marbles.
