One Suspect, Two Robberies, Same S. Jersey Bank

by KYW's David Madden

South Jersey authorities are looking for one suspect in two robberies of the same bank in Gloucester County.

It’s not every day that someone returns to the scene of the crime. But that’s what detectives in Monroe Township are dealing with. The Commerce Bank branch on Sicklerville Road in Williamstown was held up on August 21st, and again on Tuesday -- police believe by the same man.

“He walked into the Commerce Bank and presented a note, indicating that he had a weapon.”

The suspect got away with more than $2,000, according to Monroe Township police captain Richard Livingston. He’s described as 6 feet tall, thin, in his 30s, with a goatee, wearing baggy jeans, an oversized black t-shirt, and white sneakers.

If you have any information, you’re asked to contact Monroe Township police or the Gloucester County prosecutor.
