Fourteen-year-old Oprah has an adorable smile and many interests to keep her busy:
"I like to play volleyball, listen to music, go on Myspace(.com) , spend time with my friends, watch movies, go swimming, go to camp... that’s it.”
Oprah also enjoys watching cooking shows on TV. What’s her favorite kind of food? Well, Oprah likes just about everything:
“Island food: stewed chicken, roti, rice and beans. I like a lot of American food, too, like buffalo wings, Italian hoagies.”
And that describes Oprah -- she has all kinds of interests and loves trying new things. She does well in school, and hopes to study music at Duke University:
“Just hearing music makes me happy.”
And Oprah hopes an adoptive family could help her reach her goals:
“I wouldn’t have to stress myself about doing a lot of things that I would have to do if I was in foster care. If I had a family, it would just be something happy for me.”
Social worker Melaney Hill says Oprah would be a great addition to any family:
“She has a smile that lights up a room. Very affectionate young lady. She’s a people person. She keeps the conversation flowing, and she usually has a joke here or there to keep things light.”
