Pathways

by KYW's Fran Sorin

It’s that time of year, with the sounds of the birds chirping, when a lot of us are experiencing spring fever, even if we are still mired in several inches or feet of snow.

And, although you may be salivating over the magnificent plant specimens that are jumping out at you from a slew of gardening catalogues, your first priority of business if renovating or designing any new areas in the garden is to focus in on your pathways.

How one place on your property leads you to another place on your property is by path or walkways. These are truly the bones of the garden. Ideally, they should meet the requirements of good architecture:  both form and function.  Take your time in planning and designing them. And if need be, bring some experts in for a consult.
