Phila. Opens Emergency Operations Center for Storm Aid

With Tropical Storm Hanna churning up the eastern seaboard, Philadelphia opened its emergency operations center at 10am.

The emergency operations center was opened with a limited activation. Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management spokeswoman Joan Przybylowicz:

"There will be a number of city agencies that will be in the emergency operations center including representatives from fire, police, streets, water, Licenses and Inspections, the department of public property, Fairmount Park, the State Police, PECO and other agencies."

Przybylowicz reminds everyone to take the usual precautions during the storm, don't go outside unless s you have to, never drive your car through standing water and be cautious of falling trees and downed tree limbs.
