Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell is once again vowing he’ll not step down early to serve a potential Democratic administration in Washington.
Throughout his career in politics, Ed Rendell has been a chief executive as Philadelphia’s DA and then mayor, and now as governor. He says he’s gotten quite used to being his own boss:
“And it’s not my intention to start working for anybody now. I had that experience in 2000, and that convinced me that I was not cut out to work for anybody else."
That having been said, the Governor says if there’s a Democratic president, when he leaves office in January 2011, he might consider doing something in Washington if it is challenging enough. And he quips:
“I repeat: Senator Clinton and Senator Obama are both way too smart to want me for vice-president.”
