Rowan Student Dies, Another Cited in Apparent Fall from Car

by KYW's Matt Leon

A Rowan University student is dead after a motor vehicle incident early Friday -- and police say alcohol was involved.

Authorities say around 2am, four students were in a car near the intersection of Girard and Swarthmore Avenues in Glassboro, when somehow 22-year-old Gregg Kaulfers of Clifton, NJ either tried to get out or fell out of the vehicle and was dragged.

The Rowan junior was taken to Cooper University Hospital where he died Saturday morning.

The driver, 21-year-old Samantha Bollen of Bellmead, NJ, is also a Rowan undergrad. She's been cited for DWI.

Police are still investigating.
