''Wednesday's Child''

Sean

by KYW's Larry Kane
Produced by Jim Melwert

Sean is 15 years old and he says he loves school:

(Sean:)  "Because you're never too old to learn."
(Kane:)  "And what do you like learning about the most?"
(Sean:)  "Math and reading."
(Kane:)  "How are your grades in school?"
(Sean:)  "Good.  A's and B's."

Sean says he wants to go college:

(Sean:)  "I really wanted to be a vet, or I'll be a technician."
(Kane:)  "You like engineering and technical things?"
(Sean:)  "Yes."
(Kane:)  "You're probably the kind of guy who could put something together very quickly with your eyes closed."
(Sean:)  "Yeah."
(Kane:)  "Yeah, I figured.  I could never do that."
(Sean:)  "I basically like to make and create things."

In addition to reading, Sean says he also loves to play sports:

(Sean:)  "My favorite sport is soccer."
(Kane:)  "You like to run back and forth like that?"
(Sean:)  "Yeah.  It's good exercise."
(Kane:)  "I always got out of breath doing that.  You keep your breath the whole time?"
(Sean:)  "Yeah, I do.  It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it."

His family recruiter, Tamara Reddick, says Sean will admit that he isn't perfect, and he tries to learn from his mistakes:

"He has had problems in the past but he knows what those are and he works on it.  He's just a lovable kid, and I have enjoyed working with him."
