Sean

by KYW's Larry Kane
Produced by Jim Melwert

Like most boys his age, 16-year-old Sean likes sports:

"Football, basketball, baseball, and soccer."

But Sean says he'd rather play than watch:

"The reason I'd rather play is because I get to experience how fun it is."

Sean says he does well in school. His favorite subjects are math and reading:

"I like to read novels. The last book I read was Native Son, by Richard Wright. It was very hard to read because you get emotional with it. But I finished it up."

And Sean has his future mapped out:

"I want to go into the National Guard because I love computers.  I want to be a computer technician, so I was thinking I could help create software for the Navy or whatever. I think it would be fun."

But Sean says a permanent family would make his life a lot better:

"To give me support, help try to reach that goal."

Sean's social worker is Melaney Hill:

"I'm excited for what lies ahead for Sean, he just needs a family that's going to support him and encourage him and help him stay on the right track as he pursues those goals in life."
