Michael Nutter's post-election pitch for "the best and the brightest" to come work for him, is paying off in a flood of résumés.
Michael Nutter says after making the pitch for reform minded citizens to work in his administration, he did not know how many would step forward. Now, his staffers are sifting through 3,000 résumés. At first glance, Nutter says, that number is "a little surprising." But then he sees a reason:
"People who are concerned and committed want to be in on the ground floor of what I've termed, what will be the greatest turnaround of any major American city in the last 50 years. That's pretty exciting."
