The U.S. government comes out with guidelines every now and then to suggest just how much exercise is right. The latest is called the New Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans.
Basically, what it is, is their recommendations for healthy exercise. They're suggesting that aerobic exercise should be done for at least ten minutes to get most of the health benefits.
Adults should get five hours a week of moderate exercise or two-and-a-half hours a week of intensive exercise.
Again, this is based on their guidelines. Here's my point: if you try to get out and exercise whenever possible, don't get discouraged. In other words, don't feel if you don't meet guidelines that your doing nothing.
Every little bit helps. And if you reach those guidelines, so much the better.
