Unusual Ornaments for the Christmas Tree

by KYW's Fran Sorin

If you’re looking for some unusual and recyclable ornaments for your Christmas tree this year, look no further.

Some terrific ornaments that have come into the marketplace over the past couple of years, and that offer a big bang for the buck, are Bird Edible Ornaments.

They come in a variety of shapes such as wreath, heart, fir trees and Christmas medallions and are made from ingredients like sunflower seeds, crunchy pecans and millet. They are moderately priced starting at about $12 and can also be used as a Christmas gift.

If you want to use these ornaments on your indoor tree, remember to hang them on a tree outdoors when the holiday is over so that the birds can enjoy this beak-smacking nutritious snack.
