Hopeful Pa. Voters Rush to Meet Registration Deadline

by KYW's Sonia Rincon

If you haven't registered to vote in Pennsylvania, you've got till midnight Tuesday night.

Voter registrations have been pouring in to the City of Philadelphia, according to administrator Bob Lee:

"Since the primary we've received close to 100,000."

Lee says that's not even counting the ones that go through the DMV.

But if you've been putting it off, he says, it's really easy. Just find a form at any post office, public library, or state liquor store and make sure it gets postmarked no later than October 10th.

Lee says you can also sign up in person:

"Our office is located at the corner of Delaware and Spring Garden. The building name is Riverview Place, and we're on the fifth floor."

And they'll be open till midnight on Tuesday.

You need the number from your driver's license or state photo ID. If you don't have one, you need to know your Social Security number.

New Jersey voters get an extra week. The deadline in the Garden State is October 17th.
