The Philadelphia Eagles organization is investigating reports of unstable exit ramps at Lincoln Financial Field following Sunday’s game.
Some fans complained the ramps were swaying as crowds exited the stadium.
Fans like Rich Braitman say the northeast ramps were wobbling so hard he lost his balance.
"They were moving. It was almost like an earthquake."
Braitman says he and others around him started to panic.
"As much as we were all fired up over the win and the place was totally crazy, somebody needs to check those ramps."
And that's exactly what the Eagles organization is doing.
Spokesperson Bonnie Grant says the simplest explanation is something called "lateral vibration:"
"That can result when certain conditions are in place, including a driving force of pedestrian traffic. And this is common in structures that accommodate large amounts of people."
Grant says the ramps are inspected on a regular basis.
"They have been tested by structural engineers. This type of movement does not cause a threat to the structure so at no time was the public in danger."
But fans like Ed Haas aren't so sure. He's a lifelong season ticketholder and says he saw people falling, others grabbing their children, and genuinely scared.
"I've been going to football games since I was 10. I'm 50. I've been to Franklin Field, Lincoln Financial Field, the Vet and that's the first time it's ever happened."
