Philadelphia health officials have launched their annual influenza immunization campaign, and dozens quickly showed up for the flu shots.
At the corner of Broad and Morris Streets in South Philadelphia (right), free flu shots were being offered at a city health center, and the line already stretches out to the sidewalk.
Anna Lombardi waited more than an hour for her shot:
(Lombardi:) "I want to take care of myself. I'm a senior citizen and I don't want to be a burden to anybody."
(Dunn:) "You didn't mind the wait?"
(Lombardi:) "No, I didn't mind it at all."
(Dunn:) "And now it's done."
(Lombardi:) "It's done."
The city expects to give out thousands of free flu shots to senior citizens and at-risk children and adults. To see if you are eligible, call the Health Department's hotline at 215-685-6458.
