Surrounded by veterans and the family of a service member, Senator Rick Santorum (left)blasted his opponent Bob Casey during a Wednesday evening press conference for not coming out against Senator Kerry's comments.
Santorum says that Casey failed the test of leadership and simply followed the Democratic talking points by not coming out against Senator Kerry's comments:
“With Bob Casey you get the line. You get the talking points even when it undermines the morale of our troops potentially, even when it comes at the face of hurting our effort of combating this war. You just follow the line.”
Santorum was asked about polls that show his trailing Casey as Election Day approaches. He said that he's been down before and his opponents win polls; he wins elections.
