Philadelphia police were questioning a man in connection with an attempted robbery at the Franklin Institute. They believe he may be the same man responsible for a robbery at St. Joseph's University.
Police say the man they believe tried to rob the Aramark offices, inside the Franklin Institute, at gunpoint on Wednesday got away empty-handed after being tackled by security guards on his way out.
Not only did he drop the cash and his gun, they say, he also dropped his cell phone, which helped them track him down.
Capt. Mike Sinclair says the man in question may have also been involved with a robbery at the St. Joseph's University student center:
"The lone gunman entered the Saint Joseph's cafeteria, which is managed by Aramark Food Services, and robbed the night cashier."
But police were not saying whether the two crimes are definitely connected.
