Many voters across the country, including those in Bucks and Montgomery counties, had the option of going to the polls and then not voting.
It's what Bucks County commissioner Jim Cawley calls a required but unique feature of the new computerized polls: a large button at the bottom which reads “I choose not to vote for any candidate or on any issue."
Cawley says the button was a requirement of the "Help America Vote Act." But he says it could also send a message:
"Well, it certainly seems to me to be the ultimate demonstration of dissatisfaction with the candidates from any political party."
But he says it could also have another use:
"I guess it provides a voter an opportunity to at least say that he or she cared enough to be part of the process but they chose not to choose."
Cawley says the county will find out if anyone actually used the button.
