According to a survey by women's fitness magazine Self, many women in the Philadelphia area are not fit, not healthy, and not happy.
The magazine ranked Philadelphia's metro area 87th out of 100 among the nation's largest cities overall.
Wanting find out where the nation's fittest, healthiest, and happiest women lived, the magazine surveyed women across the country. Philadelphia won the dubious distincton of "worst environment."
Many Philadelphians I spoke with agreed, saying that trash has become part of the landscape. And most say that something needs to be done:
"I definitely think it's dirty. People just throw their trash everywhere and have no care whatsoever."
"I like Philadelphia but it is a little dirty."
But not everyone one agreed with the #87 ranking when it comes to fitness and health:
"Because we are in the health field we don't agree with that."
(McDevitt:) "So you are healthy?"
"Yes!"
(McDevitt:) "You're fit?"
"Yes."
(McDevitt:) "Are you happy?"
"Yes!"
And many said that happiness is all relative.
