Ten-year-old Emere is an honor roll student. He loves football, and has some advice for one of his favorite teams, the Philadelphia Eagles:
"Get Terrell Owens back. When they were winning, it was because of him. But then when he left, they started losing."
Emere is also a big fan of the NBA:
"The Nuggets, Allen Iverson and Carmello Anthony."
And although he thinks the Eagles should bring back T.O., he has some simple advice for the Sixers:
(Emere:) "Practice."
(Kane:) "Do you think Iverson should come back to Philadelphia, too?"
(Emere:) "No."
(Kane:) "You want him to stay with the Nuggets?"
(Emere:) "Yes."
In addition to being a sports fan, Emere is also a great student.
(Kane:) "You get straight A's?"
(Emere:) "Yes."
(Kane:) "You must be smart, or is it practice?
(Emere:) "No."
(Kane:) "You're just smart?
(Emere:) "Yes."
Emere's adoption specialist is Tamika McNair:
"Emere is basically a pretty good kid. He loves going to school, he loves drawing, he loves pets. Basically, he wants to be with a permanent family."
McNair says Emere is also a big help around the house:
"He'll do chores, he'll clean up his room if you ask him to. He'll rake leaves, he'll take out the trash. He's very helpful, anything you ask him, he's very helpful."
