Free screening for lead contaminants in toys will held in Linwood, Delaware County on Saturday between 10am and 1pm.
The free lead screenings are apart of the United Steel Workers "protect our kids-stop toxic imports" campaign. Similar events have been held in 25 cities across the country.
Jim Savage President of USW Local 10-1:
"What we are trying to do is we figure right around Christmas people just bought toys for their children. Santa Clause just brought toys. We're trying to raise awareness on the issue that America's trade policy has endangered American families."
The event will be held at the steelworkers’ union hall on Palmer Drive near Route 452 and Chichester Avenue in Linwood.
