Double Shooting at Phila. Strip Club Investigated As Murder- Suicide Attempt

An double shooting at a South Philadelphia strip club is being investigated as an attempted murder-suicide.

Police say a 49-year-old man shot a dancer in the head, then shot himself at Cheerleaders Gentlemen's Club,  at Front Street and Oregon Avenue.  
The man was listed in extremely critical condition at Jefferson Hospital, where he died late Friday afternoon.  The 31-year-old woman's condition was initially critical but later upgraded to stable.

Police say the woman was acquainted with the man, who was apparently a regular customer.

There was no immediate word on a motive.
