There will be a bright red sky over the Delaware river Friday night to raise awareness of heart disease.
The Ben Franklin bridge will be all aglow in red for the American's Heart Association annual observance of national go red for "National Go Red for Women Day."
Danielle Hunter is the spokeswoman for the Delaware River Port Authority which owns the bridge:
"Many people may remember the first day debut of the decorative lighting system was actually for the opening reception of the Republican National Convention in July of 2000. And what we have the ability to do is pre-program the displays, so we are able to set it up in whatever color the request comes in."
The National Go Red for Women Day campaign began 4 years ago to raise money and educate about woman and heart disease.
