A coalition of environmental and tourism groups is sponsoring an online contest, giving you the opportunity to vote for New Jersey’s best beach.
The contest involves 64 beaches from Sandy Hook to Cape May. One of the agencies involved is the Marine Sciences Consortium and spokesperson Marsha Samuel says it’s hoped the survey will do a couple of things:
“One, is we hope to encourage a sense of pride and stewardship in New Jersey’s beaches and second of all, we just want to get people really excited about the upcoming summer season on the Jersey Shore.”
Voting will run through April at www.njtoptenbeaches.org.
