Cherry Hill, NJ Native Competes on ''Big Brother 9'' Series

by KYW's John McDevitt

Sixteen strangers are now sequestered inside the "Big Brother" house in California.  And one of the competitors is a South Jersey man who's hoping to win the half-million-dollar prize.

The ninth season of the CBS television show "Big Brother" debuts Tuesday night (Feb. 12th) at 9pm.

The house guests -- nine men and seven women -- were each matched up with a partner and will share a bed with a person who could be their soulmate or their worst nightmare.

Adam Jasinski, 29, grew up in the Cherry Hill, NJ area:

"I am an alpha male. I'm pretty much self-centered. I love myself."

That's Jasinski in a promo clip. He is now sequestered inside the Big Brother house, where every move by every occupant will be monitored by cameras 24/7.

Jasinski works in Del Ray Beach, Florida as a promotional manager for an autism foundation.  His father, Adam Sr., says his son will make an impression:

"Well, he has more than a bubbly personality."

He says his son is also very clever:

"He'll do fine as long as he and his partner get along. They'll have a better than 50 percent chance of winning."

Adam Sr. notes that the prize is $500,000:

"I really hope he wins, because he wants to give part of his winnings to the Autism Foundation."
