Potted Daffodils and Tulip Plants

by KYW's Fran Sorin

You can make your home feel like spring during these winter months with potted tulips and daffodils.

Have you noticed daffodils and tulips in plastic containers at the grocery store or local nursery? How do you blend them into your décor and give your room an early taste of spring?  Easy.

You can either slide the plant, plastic pot and all, into a second prettier pot, making sure that it has a drainage hole and saucer. Or you can actually replant your grocery plant into the prettier pot that you have at home. If you choose the second option, you may need to add some extra potting soil. I also often buy two or three of the same plant and then repot them all together in one large container. Its effect is breathtaking.
